Loose teeth, harmonicas, and haircuts

Hello blog fans! What an exciting month it has been! I’m not exactly sure where to begin, so bear with me.

Landon went to the dentist, still no cavities! He does have 2 loose teeth. He is super pumped about the possibility of the tooth fairy bringing him money. He also thinks the fact that he has loose teeth makes him a man or something.

He got a hair cut this week for the first time at a hair salon like a big boy. He thought this was way cool. He actually throws a literal fit at home when he has to get a hair cut. When Bethany told me he did great at the salon I asked if a pretty girl cut his hair. She said yes. Of course. He knows how to pull out the charm for the ladies.

There is now a harmonica player in the Johnson clan. I bought Landon a harmonica at Cracker Barrel on Sunday. His bi-pap shoots air out of the top of it, so when you hold the harmonica over it, he can play it like a champ. The good thing about playing the harmonica with your nose is being able to multi task by playing and singing at the same time. He’s basically a one man band.

We officially have a Kindergartner on our hands. It’s true folks, Landon has graduated Pre School. His last week of Pre School was one to remember, that’s for sure. He got to be in his first Trike-A-Thon. He also got to go on a field trip where he played tag, raced, and went to an ice cream parlor where he got his own dish of chocolate.

On the last day of Pre School they made their “Summer Bucket List”. Landon’s included Chuck E Cheese, the Aquarium, the Zoo, and Circle S Ranch Wildlife Reserve. Tomorrow he will be going to the Reserve with his buddy Aiden.

Landon couldn’t have asked for better kids as classmates. They are so good with him. One of his buddies, Joe, gets mad every recess when Landon can’t play. “Why can’t he play? It’s not fair! It isn’t fair that he can’t walk!” If Joe could beat someone up to make Landon be able to walk, it would already be done. During Landon’s graduation ceremony he started crying because he got nervous with all the people watching him. As soon as they were done singing, Aiden stepped over and took his hand. Landon instantly quit crying. I had managed to keep my emotions in check until that point. He went to another one of his class mates, Rowan’s (whom also happens to be my cousin and completely adorable), birthday party on Saturday. There was a clown there, which he loved, and he also got to try a bouncy house for the first time! He insisted upon going to Walmart himself and picking out her gifts AND card.

The last few months Landon has done so many things we never thought he would be able to. With summer in full swing I can’t wait to see what the coming weeks have in store.

Living, laughing, and loving,

LeeAnna
